To Establish Sign-Boards Showing the Location of Water Near Roads and Trails

Section 1. (In short) Boards of Supervisors of various Counties of the Territory shall cause to be placed near every traveled road and trail in their respective Counties, where such roads or trails are not located along the course of running streams, sign-boards painted white, with directions painted in black letters on both sides of said boards, showing the distance to any spring, hole, well or tank of fresh water, and with a hand painted in black thereon, pointing with its index finger in the direction in which said water is located.

No. 81 AN ACT

To Prevent the Unnecessary Waste of Water

Section 1. Any person using water (during the season when there is a scarcity of water for irrigation), who willfully waste the same, or willfully or knowingly allow the same to run to waste, to the detriment or injury of any person, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction, thereof shall be fined an any sum not exceeding Twenty-Five Dollars.
